Rod Stewart?
somebody must have thought there was a need for a cop show with this kind of preachy plot.
5years?
Quickly I thought it said Big Foot 🦶
That doctor was the warden in Shawshank Redemption.
😊 31:38
This episode dates back to when there actually were hot rods in the National Hot Rod Association.
Watching Dragnet is like eating saltine crackers with no water.
Punk looks like David Bowie.
Not more than 5 years for killing someone? I see Cali has not changed much at all.
tight script no high speed chases nor gun play just a quick foot tripping the suspect and a lot of actors early in there career
The hot rod guy they talk to says, "I think you'll find Horatio." Horatio who?
The girl that witnessed the crime is a real cutie.
Interesting/informative/entertaining.Realisticallyportrayed citizens/criminals/law enforcement officials. Enjoy viewing the automobiles/police equipment/coin operated wall phone/nurses cap from that era🤗. Haven't decided if I prefer Frank or Bill as Joe's partner-???🤔.
The husband of the victim was played by Michael Ansara, more famous for his role as a Klingon on Star Trek TOS.
Michael Ansara played the husband. He is most well known for playing Cochise in the series Broken Arrow and playing Commander Kang on the original Star Trek. He was married to Barbara Eden of "I Dream of Genie" fame.
The hammer and MK VII shot at the end was re-shot because it slipped in the early episodes. Is there any truth that they used Jack Webb's hand for this?
The young woman at the beginning sure had the cork in tight. I'll bet she made some dunces' life a living hell :-)
The hot road had a plate which said ford. Found Dead on the Road.
5 years?
"Were there any skid marks?" "No, only in your Fruit of the Looms!"
Ms Hunter is adorable! She is a Betty Boop baby doll!
Michael Ansara, married to Barbara Eden for years, played Cochise on the television version of "Broken Arrow" a few years after this Dragnet episode .
Dragnet dialog is ridiculous. It is basically a self-parody.
Dragnet was real good about showing the difference between “the good ones and the bad ones”. So was Highway Patrol.
Is that Brian Wilson??
These episodes from the 50's are great and now and then they make you laugh the girl sucking down her coffee and mumbles to Frank you aught to get your ears checked and WHEELS!!! This part was pretty funny
Why can not they have these prints clear!
In my opinion, in the final scene, he did his best acting. The anger felt real.
I thought it was illegal to serve an obviously drunk patron. In that case he broke the law and should be held liable.
Good show thank you
16:44 I love how the guy was supposedly asleep in his bedroom but got to the door in 8 seconds.
I remember this tv show as a its still one of my favorite tv shows
WHEELS! 😂
Like the earlier version like this one. The Harry Morgan ones were the ones that made it to TV now anyway. I can find anything on “Your tub”
The First Three Episodes are the Basis of this Series. The best of the best you might say !! My favorite anyway. Kinda weird the extra they made into the Ranger. Tonto and the backstory is what makes for the perfect setting. I love this series and wanted it to go farther in the series, Too bad the story of Clayton Moore after the run of what was supposed to be an amazing story. Was I think season 3 & part of 4 was another actor that hardly anyone noticed was a different actor, that ended with Clayton Moore ending the series that I think should have gone on. The producer was unfair to Mr Moore at shows that wouldn’t let him wear his mask or use any copyrighted material from the show and he was past the point where he really needed to make some &. Bur was not allowed to do so. Not that of a handsome of a man who was broke. From what I understand. I could be wrong but read it for yourself and see what you think about a great caricature actor that a lot of people loved and cared about. Dave Florida 12/2023. Remember Captain Reid/The Lone Ranger.
To bad these weren’t Remastered versions, But the original version is watchable now you people that remaster, B$W get to it .. Please and Thank You. Git to it !!
The woman in this movie 🍿 looks and talks like such a little girl 👧. ❤️❤️❤️
No more than 5 years for manslaughter, yet a thief gets put away for 15. Something wrong with our priorities. Of course there is a more innocent type of manslaughter -- where you are not driving dangerously but make a simple error-- then there is reckless endangerment. Should be different sentences for each type.
They only mention the woman who was killed with sentencing. He killed 2 people, that woman was pregnant.
I wonder if those pictures are of the real crime scene.
"...yeah >'WHEELS!'<... that's the word I saw." BRILLIANTLY DONE!😅
Diana jergens who played her role brilliantly as Miss Hunter was exquisite in her exchange with detective Smith!
I found a vintage Slinky in the Red box the price on it 98 cents and probably been played with a lot and I don't like when you have that little Gap in the spring 😝 man!.. because I wondered if I did it?because I played with it too hard? I hate that they all have it...
Wally parks. r.i.p
That nhra poster on that garage wall is probably Worth More now than his car was then 😮
That girl that witnessed it was so cute and realistic 😅
the husband of the victim, was he joe campanella?
Shit like this is still happening. This happened here in Portland just last year. Damn street racer asshole ran down a woman waiting for the bus. She had two kids. Took PPB a solid year to track the bastard down but they found him. He's looking at minimum six years for manslaughter. It's not enough for me. I really hate street racers.
This show could get more drama out of so few lines than any other show on television. I say this even though the very cute young lady in this episode could not stop talking. I don't long for the 1950s because people weren't better then than they are now. The problem today is that there is so much more access to and sharing of negative information. In the 1950s, we listened to the national news for 15 to 30 minutes in the evening, and that was it, except for the evening newspaper. It didn't seem like we were missing anything, and we always felt like we were informed about friends and family that were important to us. Do we really need 24-hour news today?
